Subscription Terms

This page explains exactly how paying for Refine CV Builder works. It applies alongside the Terms of Service.
1. What is free
You can build as many CVs as you like without paying, preview them in every template, and export your first CV as a PDF at no cost using the free template. Subsequent exports and the other templates require a subscription.

3. Plans and billing
Premium is offered as a weekly, monthly or annual subscription. The exact price is shown in the app in your local currency before you confirm — that price, not any figure on this website, is what applies.
Payment is taken by Apple or Google, not by us. The charge is applied to your App Store or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
4. Free trial
The annual plan may include a free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, it converts into a paid subscription automatically and the first year is charged. Starting a trial on one plan does not entitle you to another trial later.
5. Automatic renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. The renewal charge is taken within 24 hours of the period ending.
6. How to cancel
Cancel from the store you bought it from — we cannot cancel it for you:
- iPhone / iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Refine → Cancel.
- Android: Google Play → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Refine → Cancel.
Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep Premium until the period you already paid for ends — cancelling does not shorten it.
Deleting your account does not cancel the subscription. Cancel first, then delete.
7. Refunds
Because the charge is made by Apple or Google, refunds are handled under their policies and must be requested from them, not from us. If you are an EU or UK consumer, your statutory right of withdrawal applies; note that by starting to use a digital service immediately you may be asked to waive it — the store’s purchase flow handles this.
8. Price changes
If we change the price of an existing subscription, you will be notified by the store before the change takes effect and asked to agree. If you do not agree, the subscription simply stops renewing at the old price.
9. If a payment fails
The store retries for a period. During that time Premium features may be paused. If the payment is never completed, the subscription ends — your CVs are not deleted, but exports revert to the free tier.
