Terms of Service
Last updated:
These terms govern your use of the Refine CV Builder mobile app and this website. By using either, you accept them.
1. What the service is
Refine CV Builder is a tool for writing, formatting and exporting CVs and cover letters. It produces documents. It does not apply for jobs on your behalf, does not guarantee interviews, and does not guarantee employment. Any figures shown about interview or hiring rates are indicative aggregates, not a promise about your application.
2. Your account
The app creates a guest account tied to your device on first launch. You can convert it into a permanent account with an email address or by signing in with Google or Apple. You are responsible for keeping access to that email or provider account; if you lose it, we cannot recover the CVs stored under it.
One person, one account. Do not share credentials, and do not use someone else’s personal data to create a CV without their agreement.
3. What you may not do
- Use the service for anything unlawful, or to misrepresent someone’s identity or credentials.
- Attempt to bypass the subscription — including modifying the app, tampering with receipts, or calling our API in ways the app does not.
- Automate access, scrape the service, or place unreasonable load on it.
- Resell, redistribute or repackage the templates as your own product.
We may suspend or close an account that does these things. Where the breach is minor and fixable we will tell you first.
4. Your content
You keep every right in the content you write. You grant us only the narrow licence needed to run the service: to store your content, render it into the template you chose, and deliver the resulting file to you. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account.
5. Our content
The templates, layouts, wording and the app itself belong to us. You may use a template freely for your own CV, including commercially in your own job search. You may not extract the templates and distribute them separately.
6. Subscriptions
Paid features are covered by the Subscription Terms, which form part of this agreement.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the service running but do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may change, suspend or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give reasonable notice and a way to export your documents first.
8. Liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including a job you did not get. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited — including for death, personal injury, or fraud. If we are found liable, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected by anything in this section.
9. Termination
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. Deleting your account does not by itself cancel a subscription — cancel that through the App Store or Google Play, otherwise billing continues.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by Turkish law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country you live in, and may bring proceedings there.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect; continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept them.
